FINAL PIECE

This piece is a metaphor that uses beauty to explain decay. The eyes represent decaying with them wide open, representing the person or object being youthful and full of life, half-lidded, representing them beginning to wear out and tire, and closed, representing them finally coming to an end. I tried to use shading to represent this, but I fear that it was not obvious. The darker the shading gets, the more decayed it gets. I maintained the shading by using my finger to spread it around, and I only felt satisfied once I thought I'd rubbed off my fingerprints.
